I usually go for the live music on the weekends but recently had dinner there. Really good! More of an adult (over 35) crowd and a little dive bar(y) on the bar side but don't let that deter you, the food is great. :)

My favorite restaurant in all of San Clemente if not South Orange County. Great food, great, friendly staff. Just had tonight's special, Cajun Chicken pasta. The blend of grilled chicken breast, sausage, pasta, and a cream sauce was just perfect. Coupled with a Wild Horse Merlot, the meal couldn't be any better! In addition, there's live music Wednesday through Saturday to create a wonderful culinary and musical experience.

Haven't had southern food since TN but this is amazing. It tastes authentic and the service is amazing. Everyone was so nice and they always have live music. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants great vibes, food, and people.

Pleasantly surprised. Friday night and the place was packed, they had our reservation ready and we had no wait at all. We chose the patio and we ended up enjoying a nice summer San Clemente evening. The service was timely and our server was knowledgeable on the menu and drinks, he was able to explain how dishes were prepared and help direct us to our choices. We ordered their Jambalaya and Blackened Salmon, both were very flavorful and portions were more than fair for the pricing. Overall a great experience and if you like people watching, then this is a fun place to sit back in. A large local following for their lounge with live music makes the place a little loud, but the vibe was good. Our only ask of this place, just give us the corn bread with our meals!!! We will be back

We checked out this place for the first time on a Saturday night. They had a live band that overall was pretty good. They had a good amount of songs to dance to but not every song was "danceable". We got a great table and our server was very friendly. The food and drinks were good! There's a decent amount of parking in the Ace Hardware parking lot. I like the interior design and ceiling. It had a cool lounge feel and bathrooms weren't gross. The truffle fries were great! The shrimp and grits was pretty good except I didn't love the texture of the grits. Other than that, this is overall a good restaurant, servers, and fun ambiance.

The hubby and I met our friends from OC halfway on a Saturday night for dinner. Iva Lee's was busting at the seams with patrons having a grand old time listening to the live music, enjoying their libations and their tasty food. The 4 of us ordered a round of drinks then had the salmon cakes and fried green tomatoes. The tomatoes were nicely coated, breaded and deep fried with a sauce drizzled on them. They were delicious and something I'd definitely order again. The salmon cakes were good as well though a bit on the dense side. I ordered the fried chicken which came with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was superb, the chicken was crisp on the outside and the white meat was moist inside. The green beans were fresh and had a nice snap to them. The others at the table ordered the salmon, the catfish and the red snapper special. It's only during the writing of this review that I realize everyone but I ordered seafood.
